DFR is set to kick off its 9th Citizen’s Fire Academy (CFA) on
April 4, 2013. Applications are being accepted for this exciting learning opportunity.
The deadline for application submission is March 12, 2013.

Firefighter's Museum, located in Old No. 5 Hook and Ladder Company
Station. Erected in 1907 and the oldest remaining fire station in Dallas,
it was dedicated on September 23, 1978 as a historic landmark. Enjoy
viewing the antique horse drawn, hand drawn, and motor driven fire
apparatus. See a turn of the century fire alarm office and thrill as the
bell clangs out the alarms. See the old fire house setting with its wood
burning stove, and the bedroom scene with the bunkers at the ready beside
