The City of Dallas has vacated Station 42 and it is scheduled for demolition.  Engine 42 is temporarily being housed at Station 27 until a new Station 42 is built.

Fire station #42 was built in 1957 at a cost of $62,000. It has 2 full bays, 1/2 bay and contains 5,362 square feet. The first alarm district served by this station includes response with Station #21 during aircraft emergencies at Dallas Love Field.

Station 42 does not have a wish list at this time for the Adopt A Station Program.  Their wish is to get a new fire station built so that they can get back to their old neighborhood.
